With election trends showing that he was no longer the kingmaker in Bihar, Lok Janshakti Party chief Ramvilas Paswan on Tuesday said the assembly poll results would have no impact on the UPA coalition at the Centre.

"This (poll results) has nothing to do with the Union Cabinet," Paswan said when asked whether he would step down as a minister at the Centre if his LJP did not perform well.

"Did Lalu Prasad resign after RJD lost the Jharkhand polls," he asked.

Maintaining that his vote bank would remain intact, Paswan said RJD government was set to go out of power and BJP too was on its way out from the state.

"The people's aspirations are coming true they wanted a change in leadership. It is happening ... The RJD is on its way out," he said.

Paswan said his party had been maintaining from the very beginning that it would not form government. "I had told both (Congress President) Sonia Gandhi and the Prime Minister that they should project a Muslim Chief Minister. However RJD kept insisting on Rabri Devi."
