People suffer as auto strike continues

THE AUTORICKSHAW drivers continued their strike for the second day today, once again causing inconvenience to people. A large number of people who arrived on trains and buses and had luggage with them had to face the maximum problems.

Though the autorickshaws were parked inside the station and near the Sarvate bus stand, none of them were plying.

Autorickshaw Drivers’ Association president Syed Ali said that the strike would continue till the time their demands were met. Meanwhile, moves are on from the district administration to sort out the matter with the autorickshaw drivers and their union, by holding discussions with them.
