Gopal Balasubramanium, a group president of Reliance Industries, was interrogated by the Delhi Police in connection with Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh's phone-tapping case.

The police said that there is no case against the Reliance official and he was summoned only because his name had figured during interrogation in the case.
Anurag, a private detective and a key accused in the case, had told police that he had approached Balasubramanium with the Amar Singh tapes and had offered to sell them to him. However, Gopal had refused to buy them.
Four persons have so far been arrested in the case. Two were private detectives, one was a despatch rider with Reliance Infocomm and one was the person who had allegedly forged the letters of sanction for tapping.
