The main accused in the Phoolan Devi murder case, Sher Singh Rana, was arrested in Kolkata, two years after he escaped from high-security Tihar Jail in the national capital, police sources said in Kolkata on Tuesday.

Rana was arrested in Kolkata on Monday night and was being brought to New Delhi where he would be produced in a court, the sources said.
Bandit-turned-politician Phoolan Devi was killed outside her residence in New Delhi in July, 2001.
