CITIZENS CAN now, obtain passport application forms from their district head post offices (HPO). Addressing mediapersons here today, Chief Post-Master General (UP Circle) Neelam Srivastava said, “We are introducing this service for citizens and department staff will also help applicants fill the form and attach relevant documents.”

In addition to this, there were plans to introduce a facility, where Income-Tax returns could also be submitted at the POs, said Srivastava, adding that, in the near future, customs forms and railway tickets would also be available at the HPOs. Srivastava also spoke about e-post services of the department through which citizens could receive hard copy of e-greetings.
In addition to this, the department was also providing the customers, the e-payment service. With this facility, the payment of telephone bills could be made on-line, she said.
Post Master General Ashutosh Tripathi and Director postal services Uday Krishna were also present on the occasion.
