Conveying the message of social harmony and brotherhood, the play highlighted the story of a village in which the members of the upper caste community drove the members of the lower caste community outside the village to live on a mound.

But once the Narmada river was flooded and the entire village was submerged in water. Therefore, the members of the upper caste were forced to live on the same mound where the members of the lower caste were living. A sense of social harmony and brotherhood was developed among the members of both the castes.

Artistes of Setu staged the play in an impressive manner. Saleem Raja directed the play whereas Rakesh Vardhan, Payal Agrawal, Sumit Srivastava, Ritesh Srivastava, Kanhaiya Gupta, Mohd Akhtar, Reena Singh, Umesh Bhatia, Ayaz Khan and Suraj Singh played their character in an effective style.

Tuesday’s programme was devoted to the memory of eminent theatre personality of Parsi Theatre Aga Hashra Kashmiri. Senior theatre artist Neelkamal Chatterjee was felicitated with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Ashok Anand and Sumit Srivastava were also felicitated on the occasion.
