The court said as the announcement was made in Meerut, it was beyond the jurisdiction of the court to accept the plea.

Two petitions, one by joint secretary of the Advocates’ Association Vishram Singh Yadav and another by national convenor of Bajrang Dal Prakash Sharma, were filed in the court on February 21.

However, talking to newsmen Sharma said he would take-up the case with the Sessions Court tomorrow.

Meanwhile in Meerut, ACJM Rajesh Kumar on Tuesday ordered to register a complaint case against State Haj Minister Haji Yaqoob Qureshi for making inflammatory speech in public and spreading animosity in the society.

District general secretary of the BJP, Sunil Bharala, had lodged a complaint against the minister on February 24 after Qureshi announced a cash reward of Rs 51 crore for the scalp of Danish cartoonist who published the cartons of Prophet Mohammad.

Reacting on rejection of his application, Swami insisted to carry on his fight against the minister. The rejoicing BJP workers, however, expressed their joy by shouting slogan like ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ outside the court. A similar complaint case had been registered against the minister in the Ghaziabad court on the complaint of a local advocate.
