Although some cloudy conditions are being experienced due to incursion of moisture from both Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea, rainfall activity is not expected as the upper air circulation system that caused the recent bout of rains and thundershowers, has now weakened, Regional Meteorological Centre director Dr D P Dubey said.

Weather conditions have become quite pleasant in the State since the rainfall activity ceased about two days ago. Day as well as night temperatures are under the normal of the season. The days are particularly pleasant, as they remain partially cloudy and the sun is not beating down keeping the temperatures three to four degrees below normal.

Given the very high temperatures experienced during the last week of January and first week of February, people were already having a feel of early summer.

On Saturday, the maximum day temperature in Bhopal was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius, which was three degrees below normal while the minimum temperature on night intervening Friday and Saturday was recorded at 12.0 degrees – one degree Celsius below normal. In other parts of the State, Indore recorded maximum and minimum of 27.4 and 10.0 degrees, Gwalior – 24.4 and 11.7 degrees and Jabalpur – 26.4 and 13.3 degrees Celsius.
