THE PRESENT run of pleasant weather across the State will continue for the next few days, as the wind pattern over Central India is presently northwesterly in direction and thus pulling in colder winds from northern India.
Although some cloudy conditions are being experienced due to incursion of moisture from both Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea, rainfall activity is not expected as the upper air circulation system that caused the recent bout of rains and thundershowers, has now weakened, Regional Meteorological Centre director Dr D P Dubey said.
Weather conditions have become quite pleasant in the State since the rainfall activity ceased about two days ago. Day as well as night temperatures are under the normal of the season. The days are particularly pleasant, as they remain partially cloudy and the sun is not beating down keeping the temperatures three to four degrees below normal.
Given the very high temperatures experienced during the last week of January and first week of February, people were already having a feel of early summer.
However, the change of weather pattern over the last week when entire North Indian belt received rains and snowfall has considerably changed the weather. Presently, day temperatures in most parts of the State are remaining between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius while night temperatures are being recorded around 10 to 13 degrees Celsius. In the State capital too, the weather is very pleasant and citizens made the best of the extended weekend to enjoy the weather.

{{/usCountry}}On Saturday, the maximum day temperature in Bhopal was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius, which was three degrees below normal while the minimum temperature on night intervening Friday and Saturday was recorded at 12.0 degrees – one degree Celsius below normal. In other parts of the State, Indore recorded maximum and minimum of 27.4 and 10.0 degrees, Gwalior – 24.4 and 11.7 degrees and Jabalpur – 26.4 and 13.3 degrees Celsius.
