PM denies Tandon's sacking

Prime Minister Vajpayee said no decision has been taken to remove senior BJP leader Lalji Tandon as his election agent.

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Wednesday said no decision has been taken to remove Lalji Tandon as his election agent in his Lucknow Lok Sabha constituency.

"No decision has been taken", Vajpayee told reporters in Lucknow in reply to a question whether Tandon had been removed as his poll agent in the wake of sari stampede in which 22 people lost their lives.
