Rohan (11), admitted to a private ward at AIIMS with symptoms of dengue on Tuesday, was discharged after the visit of the prime minister to the hospital.

AIIMS sources said Rohan had complained of high fever, body ache and persistent vomiting - common symptoms of dengue.

Preliminary medical tests had turned out to be positive and doctors had put him on medication immediately.

"He responded to the medication quite well and showed a fast recovery," the sources said.

Rohan's cousin Madhav (17) and uncle Vijay Tankha, who were admitted to AIIMS with similar symptoms on Wednesday, are also "fast recovering" and are likely to be discharged on Monday.
