"We were disappointed with the president's address (to the two houses of parliament). The disappointment has grown after the prime minister's reply," BJP leader Arun Jaitley said here.

Jaitley said food price inflation was touching 20 percent but the prime minister had not spelt out a roadmap to check prices. "He has only expressed his concern on price rise. There is no indication of steps to translate this concern into action. Price rise can't be tackled by cliches," the BJP leader said.

Jaitley said Maoist violence had increased. "There is no clarity about the government's plan of action," he said.

He said the Sharm-el-Sheikh statement had unilaterally changed India's position on talks with Pakistan and delinked the issue of terror from the composite dialogue process. Referring to last month's foreign secretary level talks between the two countries, he said the government could not explain the reasons for its offer of talks with Pakistan.
