PM, Sonia express shock over Meerut fire

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has expressed his deep concern and shock and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Monday expressed shock over the devastating fire in Meerut.

"The Prime Minister expressed his deep concern and shock and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families," Singh's Media Adviser Sanjaya Baru said.

Gandhi also expressed deep anguish and heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives in the fire.
