Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrives in Hyderabad on Monday night for a one-day visit amid tight security and continuing arrests of terror suspects.
The Prime Minister will land from New Delhi by a special aircraft at 10.10 pm and drive straight to Raj Bhavan, the official residence of the state governor, for a night halt.
On Tuesday morning, the Prime Minister flies in a chopper to inaugurate the 93rd Indian Science Congress at the Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University (ANGRAU) at Rajendranagar on the outskirts of the city and presents the outstanding scientists award.
The Prime Minister is then scheduled to fly to Shamsabad, also in the suburbs, to lay the foundation stone for a modern ring road circling the city and address a public meeting.
He then leaves for Port Blair at 1.20 pm to visit tsunami-affected areas.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the visit in the wake of last week's terror attack on the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. A large number of policemen are being deployed all along the route from the airport to Raj Bhavan and also at the venues of the two programmes.

{{/usCountry}}Police are also on alert in the wake of continuing arrests of terror suspects in connection with the suspected suicide bombing at the police task force headquarters. Police picked up four more suspects on Sunday in connection with the October blast, in which two people including the suicide bomber, a Bangladesh national, were killed.
