PMO consitutes a task force on PCPIR

The task force will finalise the number and location of PCPIRs, the Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers BK Handique said.

The Prime Minister's Office has constituted a task force on petroleum, chemical and Petrochemical Investment Regions to provide an appropriate policy framework for their development, the Rajya Sabha was informed on Friday.

The task force will finalise the number and location of PCPIRs, the Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers BK Handique said in a written reply.

He said Government was also actively considering proposal for restructuring of ailing Madras Fertilisers Ltd.

Pharma Policy: The Minister said the Government is likely to finalise a new pharmaceutical Policy shortly and the issue of trade margin would also be addressed therein.
