POIT at Itarsi, Bina stations

PASSENGER-Operated Inquiry Terminals (POITs) have been established at the Itarsi and Bina railway stations in the Bhopal railway division.

According to a press release issued on Tuesday, until recently this facility was available only at Bhopal and Habibganj stations.

Passengers starting their journey from Itarsi and Bina stations will now be able to get information about availability of berths, train timings, confirmation of ticket from the computer themselves.

Officials hope, the POITs will shorten the long queues at the inquiry counters. Department of Signal and Telecommunications has established the terminal.
