The Andhra Pradesh CID on Saturday night took into custody PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) representative Gopal Krishnan for questioning, according to reliable sources.
However, Inspector General CID V S Kaumdi denied the development.
PwC was the auditor of Satyam's accounts and has maintained it relied on audit evidence provided by the company and followed applicable audit standards. Meanwhile, CFO Vadlamani Srinivas, who was arrested last night, is being interrogated and likely to be produced before a magistrate this evening, CID sources said. The beleaguered B Ramalinga Raju underwent a routine medical check-up this morning for Hepatitis C and fluctuating blood pressure.
The jail authorities are expected to take a decision only after the medical reports come in whether Raju should be shifted to a hospital and can be treated at the jail itself, said officials who don't want to be named.
