He even said that policing would not be possible without effective partnership of other sections. He said that the crime meetings would be organised on regular intervals for self-introspection and to know the progress of work.

Talking to mediapersons at the police line, Srivastav threw light on his priorities and said that to arrest the listed and wanted criminals was a challenge for him.

He admitted that it would be a difficult task to arrest absconding criminals carrying rewards on their heads, but he expressed confidence that with the support of his subordinates, he would arrest those criminals.

Responding to a question to bring the transparency in the police department, Raja said that new technologies and activeness of media were playing important role in this direction. Srivastav said that that Thana Divas was also an instance to bring transparency in policing.

He said that Gorakhpur was not a new district for him and he would utilise his experience in his current tenure as its SSP. Raja was the ASP of the district in 1995-96.

Raja repeatedly asked for cooperation of all corners of the society to ease the traffic problems in the city. He assured that FIR would be lodged in any crime and denied that police were trying to minimise the cases of crime.
