Thousands of pirated CDs were seized from a video shop in Pondicherry during a police raid on Monday night.
According to police sources on Tuesday, the Tamil film fraternity had submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister N Rangasamy to put an end to the menace of VCD piracy in the union territory, which was seriously affecting the film industry.

The Chief Minister had assured of action to check the menace.
