The police have called upon more than a dozen persons for questioning in the last three days.
With ransom, old rivalry and a property dispute looking virtually unlikely, the police, due the injuries marks on the body, suspects 'religious sacrifice' as a motive behind the killing.
Sahil Kumar alias Pinky went missing on Monday. His mutilated body was found in the fields on Tuesday with multiple stab wounds and one eye missing.
