Noida police are hopeful of an early breakthrough in the kidnapping case of Anant Gupta, the son of Adobe’s senior vice-president. Till late in the night, police were interrogating the two domestic helps, private security guard, gardener and other employees working at Naresh Gupta’s house.
Officials said that no specific leads about Anant’s whereabouts have so far been received.
“We have spoken to the family and have formed six teams to investigate the case. We are hopeful of an early breakthrough,” said Noida SSP, RKS Rathore. Police gave enough hints of an insider’s involvement in the kidnapping.
The manner in which the kidnapping was executed — abductors on a motorcycle snatching the child from his nanny — has led police to believe that no major gang was involved. “We are investigating all angles. We believe the kidnappers are still in the city and raids are on in and around the city,” a senior police officer said. The Special Task Force of the UP Police has also been roped in for the investigations. Police of neighbouring states, including Delhi, are also coordinating with UP Police.
“It is possible that some local youths were involved in the crime. We have got some clues about the abductors,” said Rathore.

{{/usCountry}}Lotus Valley School, wehere Anant studies, say its buses are well-guarded. “Our school bus stop is close to the child’s house. We have security on our buses. However, the incident took place before our bus arrived at the stop,” said SC Arora, vice chairman, Lotus Valley School.
Guptas had shifted to their new bungalow around four years back. “We had no personal enmity with anyone or any business rivalry,” said Gupta’s brother-in-law, Lalit Gupta. Gupta’s in-laws stay in Noida’s sector 33.
