ALL ARRANGEMENTS have been made to administer polio drops to the children up to 5 years of age on September 10 in 15 districts of Madhya Pradesh.
On the first day of campaign, polio drops will be administered at polio booths and on the next two days – September 11 and 12 – the campaign teams will cover the entire localities to administer the polio drops to the remaining children.
As polio cases have been found in large scale in Uttar Pradesh, the special pulse polio campaign will take place in the districts bordering Uttar Pradesh. So far only one case has been registered in Madhya Pradesh this year.
The pulse polio campaign will be conducted in the districts of Sagar, Damoh, Panna, Tikamgarh, Katni, Chhattarpur, Gwalior, Datia, Shivpuri, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Sidhi, Rewa and Satna. The state government has already made the necessary arrangements. Total 23,353 permanent booths have been set up apart from 1031 transits and 497 mobile teams.
Altogether 3,832 supervisors and 60,007 workers have been stationed to make the campaign successful. The state level control room has been set up at IEC bureau, Bhopal and will work round-the-clock hours till September 14.
