Prominent among those who visited Budhni today for campaigning and door-to-door canvassing were leader of Opposition Jamuna Devi, former chief minister Digvijay Singh, Union Minister Suresh Pachauri, Anusuiya Uike and former Mayor of Bhopal, Vibha Patel.

Most leaders, including Jamuna Devi, had door-to-door contact with the voters. Digvijay Singh had a dig at the wrong policies of the BJP and said that the party came to power after it promised to improve roads, water and electricity situation in the State but miserably failed to keep its words. He also enumerated achievements of the Congress party, including distribution of land to Dalits and free supply of power to farmers during his ten years tenure as Chief Minster.

EC’S RESTRICTIONS
Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India has restricted to two the number of vehicles that a candidate can use for himself and other party workers etc in the Budhni assembly constituency on the voting day on May 3. Restrictions have also been imposed on some other vehicles including private vehicles to curb their misuse.
