POMP AND show is likely to be on display in reception of Satyanarayan Jatia on his maiden visit to Bhopal tomorrow as the State BJP president.
Given the hectic preparation for reception, it seems BJP workers and leaders have conveniently forgotten the solemn resolution in the Pachmarhi Chintan Shivir that there will be no extravaganza on any leader’s visit.
Jatia will reach here by Shatabdi Express at 2.10 in the afternoon and accorded a warm reception by party workers at the station. Later, he would drive to the State BJP office in a motorcade.
Party leaders learnt officially about Jatia’s visit only yesterday. Therefore, they have had to race against time to make preparations to accord a grand reception to the new State president at the railway station and the State BJP office.
The district BJP unit held a meeting in connection with preparations for the reception.
Those who attended the meeting included Vijay Sharma, Dhruvanarayan Singh, Ramdayal Prajapati, Om Yadav, Alok Sharma, Ashok Pandey, Alok Sanjar, Vishwas Sarang, Ramesh Sharma, Asha Jain and Rahul Rajput.
Arch gates, posters, banners, fireworks are some of the features of the welcome Jatia would notice tomorrow on his visit.
The BJP office is being decorated with flowers. All the squares in the vicinity of the BJP office would have welcome arches, posters and banners to accord reception to the leader who till some time back used to visit the office virtually unnoticed.
