Postmen to pick up mail from homes

The Department of Posts has introduced a new scheme in Kerala, under which postmen will pick up mail from the doorsteps of customers.

The postmen would pick up ordinary letters and Speed Post articles from the premises of customers while going on their beat, an official press release said.

They would also sell postage stamps and postal stationary, the release added.
