ANNOYED BY the prolonged hour of power rostering in the night, thousands of activists of the Goraknaht Purvanchal Vikas Manch took out a procession and staged a dharna at the district magistrate’s office, urging him to do something to stop power rostering at night.

The scorching heat weave which swept the entire division during last three days has affected the normal life, mercury is hovering over 43 degree Celsius and power rostering has created more problems for the people.
However, beating intolerable heat, the activists took out the procession and staged the dharna led by Vishnu Shanker Srivastav.
The power rostering at night was suspended by Chief Minister on the request of a local MLA RMD Agrawal. The people were enjoying full sleep and pre-monsoon shower on June 5 to 8 brought down the temperature but with sudden change in weather has affected the normal life in the district.
Dharna by physically challenged
THE PHYSICALLY challenged, mostly the students, staged a dharna at the office of the chief medical officer to express their resentment at the apathetic attitude of the health officials towards the issuance of disability certificate to them.

Therefore they were facing a lot of difficulties hardship in availing the facilities and concession in railway and bus fare.
They also handed over a memorandum to health officials to provide them with hearing aid, machines and disability certificates.
