A powerful bomb was found at a roadside near Wangoi Bazar in Imphal West district of Manipur on Tuesday, official sources said.

Sources said the bomb was detected by local people who reported the matter to the police.

The bomb was defused by experts at 9.20 a.M, sources said adding that it was reportedly planted by militants to attack security personnel.

No arrest was made in this connection, sources said.
