A powerful bomb was found lying on the roadside at Kakching Lamkhai area in Thoubal district of Manipur, security peronnel patrolling the area said.

A powerful bomb was found on Wednesday at Kakching Lamkhai area in Thoubal district of Manipur, official sources said.

Security personnel patrolling the area detected the bomb lying on the roadside, they said.

It was later defused by the experts.

The bomb, allegedly planted by militants, was targetted at the security forces, they added.
