Powerful bomb found near Manipur University

Police avert a major tragedy by defusing a powerful bomb near Manipur University premises.

A powerful bomb was recovered from Panahanbi-Canchipur area near Manipur University in Imphal West district on Wednesday, official sources said.

Local residents reported a suspicious object in the area where bomb experts detected and defused the bomb, they said.

Police had also recovered a powerful bomb from Lilong area in Thoubal district on Tuesday.
