Pragya tops PAHUT-2006

Pragya Upadhyaya of Indore has topped the list of successful candidates of Pre Ayurvedic Homoeopathic and Unani Test (PAHUT) ? 2006, the results of which was announced on Tuesday.

Pragya secured 133.78 marks out of total 150 (89.18 per cent) to claim the top spot. The exams were conducted on September 17 in 13 cities for admissions to government and private colleges offering BAMS, BHMS and BUMS courses.

A total of 297 seats are available in BAMS, 50 seats in BHMS and 40 in BUMS courses in government colleges and 1775 seats in private colleges.

Priti Tike of Khargone has bagged the second spot with 133.78 marks. The other rank holders are Majaree Morgaonkar of Gwalior – third (132.77), Tarun Kumar Ray of Narsinghpur - fourth (131.76), Sachin Jain of Jabalpur – fifth (130.74), Shailendra Kumar Jain of Indore – sixth (130.74), Sonu Sharma of Gwalior – seventh (129.73), Mahesh Kumar Patidar of Indore – eighth (129.73), Pawan Kumar Shukla of Gwalior – ninth (129.73) and Manoj Kumar Rathore of Bhopal – tenth (128.72).

The admissions will be done on the basis of counselling based on these results. The director of Indian Medicine Systems will release the details.
