"We are marrying in complete Oriya tradition", Ojha told reporters.

Ojha, earlier in the day, went through several rituals including bathing in turmeric mixed water, putting up vermilion and sandal paste on his fore head and offering puja before the deity at his residence amidst chanting of "hula huli" (a tradional swaying of the tongue creating sound by womenfolk).

Friends and relatives were readying themselves to accompany the "barat" on the sprawling roads leading upto the Mayfare Lagoon, the venue of the marriage.

Indian, Chinese and Continental food have been ordered by the bride's family in the hotel for the members of the "barat", a chef of the hotel said.

Besides, keeping in view large attendance of guests and viewers to have a glimpse of the celebrity groom, police has deployed large number of personnel in and around the hotel.

The Left arm spinner was the highest wicket taker in the Indian Premier League.

The girl, a post-graduate micro-biology student, had met Ojha at a party in Hyderabad one year ago.

Despite being born and brought up in Orissa, Ojha had turned out for Hyderabad in the Ranji trophy as he was staying in the 'Charminar city' for quite some time.

Karabi's parents, Prof Kailash Chandra Baral and Prof Chanchala Baral, are working at an university in Hyderabad.
