REALISTIC PAINTER from Lucknow, Shyam Verma, has the honour of one of his paintings being purchased by President APJ Kalam.

The occasion was a group painting exhibition which took place at Rashtrapati Bhawan between August 14 and August 18. The President purchased Shyam’s painting ‘Wild Beast’ that features a herd of animals crossing a river. Shyam got maximum number of remarks in the book kept there for feedback.

Two other paintings were bought by the parents of cine-star Diya Mirza featuring Mathura’s famous masjid and one of sheep in a herd. The exhibition ended with a dinner with the President of India. Shyam Verma is a product of Arts College, Lucknow.
