Prasad appointed as Intelligence Chief

Mumbai’s Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) K L Prasad has been appointed as State Intelligence Department (SID) chief, Home Department said.

Prasad replaces D Sivanandan, who has already taken over as the Mumbai Police Commissioner.

Additional Director-General (Anti-Naxal Operations), Pankaj Gupta has been shifted to DG office in the same rank.

Railway Police Chief A K Sharma has been promoted as Additional Director-General (Training).

S T Chavan, Additional Commissioner of Police, Thane has been promoted to IG and posted in place of Sharma.
