President APJ Abdul Kalam will arrive on a short visit to a tribal village of Jhabua district in western Madhya Pradesh on July 17, to have a first hand experience of jatropha plantation aimed at reducing nation's crude import bill
"The President will arrive at Indore airport from Bhopal and then proceed to village Haatyadeli in Jhabua by a special Indian Airforce helicopter," official sources said on Saturday.
He will have a first hand experience of jatropha plantations in the barren hills surrounding Haatyadeli village, study works being carried out under water-shed mission to arrest the depleting ground water level and will also interact with school children and villagers after observing the head start centre, established to spread computer literacy among the school children, sources said.
Kalam is visiting on invitation of Union Minister of State for Agriculture, Kantilal Bhuria to the tribal Jhabua district, sources added.
