Priest arrested for raping woman

A priest allegedly raped a woman, who came to Muzaffarnagar for treatment, at a temple in Jawalagiri mandir in Meerut, police said today.

A priest allegedly raped a woman, who came to Muzaffarnagar for treatment, at a temple in Jawalagiri mandir in Meerut, police said on Monday.

55-year-old Tarkeshver Ranand, who raped the victim on Sunday, has been arrested, they said.

The victim, a resident of Mohamadpur Rai Singh village in Muzaffarnagar district, has been sent for medical examination.
