"Sartorial designing is my language of creativity. To me, Fashion clothing is like art, where the canvas is you and clothes are the expression of one's personality," says Priya Awasty.
A passion for clothing and an inborn gift for its designing led her to start her career in 1990 in Kolkata. After short stint there, destiny brought her to Mumbai and her collection found its way into a few leading stores in various other cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad apart from Kolkata. Priya's haute couture and pret designs today have found their way into the 'Femina Bridal Show' held in 2004 and also at the final Indian fashion frontier India Fashion Week held in 2003 in Mumbai.
Her collection is distinctive with unconventional cuts and vibrant colours. Her garments is both couture and pret to drape the style cognizant diva.
