Probe into outsider’s presence at IIT-JEE centre

Police have initiated a probe into the alleged intrusion of the owner of a reputed coaching class into an IIT-JEE centre where candidates were writing the entrance test.

Police have initiated a probe into the alleged intrusion of the owner of a reputed coaching class into an IIT-JEE centre where candidates were writing the entrance test.

VK Bansal, owner of noted Bansal classes, was allegedly found inside the IIT-JEE centre at Kota few minutes before the examination started. Bansal however said he had gone there to bless his students.

The matter was brought into the notice of the police by parents, who protested and demonstrated outside the centre questioning Bansal’s presence. “I have deputed Additional SP to investigate the matter and find out why outsider (Bansal) was allowed to enter the centre,” Bhupendra Sahu, SP-Kota told PTI.

The exam was scheduled at 0900 hrs and Bansal, a physically challenged mathematics teacher, allegedly entered the exam-centre Modern Public School on his wheelchair and stayed inside for about 15 minutes.

Bansal classes in Kota has got national recognition for IIT-JEE preparations.
