Dharamrajsingh alias Bacchi Singh, an alleged Chhota Shakeel associate, had alleged that he was falsely implicated by a late encounter specialist and two other police officers. In November 2008, the high court had asked the commissioner of police to investigate.

Recently when an affidavit was filed by an assistant commissioner of police (ACP), the high court expressed its displeasure. “We had asked the commissioner to investigate and not the ACP. You (police) should follow our orders,” said B H Justice Marlapalle.

Singh has several land grab cases against him. Gangster Chhota Shakeel and Iqbal Attarwala too are accused in the cases. Singh had approached the court alleging that he is being targeted due to internal police rivalry.
