Speaking on the occasion, co-ordinator of the Manch Rishi Mohan Verma and Rudra Pratap alleged that the investigation report was biased and that it shielded the culprits.

City unit president of the Manch Brijesh Singh, Narad Kushwaha, Pradeep Shukla and others also criticised the State Government for its failure to check communal tension in Meerut. They said the incidents in Allahabad, Meerut and the custodial death in Gorakhpur had virtually exposed the incapability of the State Government.

Meanwhile, World Hindu Federation State secretary Prem Shanker Mishra also rejected the investigation report.

He called upon the youths to be ready to expose the alleged nexus between ‘corrupt’ officials and the Samajwadi Party leader. He alleged that the clean chit to the accused in the Mau communal riots, Mukhtar Ansari, revealed that the State Government had an understanding with criminals.
