Professors XI, Saifia Club in final

PROFESSORS XI will take on Saifia Club in the final of the Rakesh Soni Memorial Masters Cup Cricket Tournament on Wednesday. In the second semifinal played today, Professors XI defeated Bhopal Seniors by 90 runs.

After the failure of batsmen in converting their good innings into century in the last few days, Harsh Pandey of Professors XI entertained the spectators by scoring 115 runs. He scored the ton in just 78 deliveries.

Harsh’s innings included two sixes and 12 boundaries. Manish and Ashish contributed 30 runs each. Earlier, Professors XI won the toss and decided to bat first. Once again, the pitch favoured the team batting first and piled up 230 runs for the loss of eight wickets.

After a slow start, Harsh Pandey came out to script one of his memorable century. It was interesting for the spectators to see Pandey play. For, in the past couple of years, they have seen him as umpire. He is a member of the umpire panel of the Bhopal Division Cricket Association (BDCA).

‘Efforts on for international cricket stadium’
UNION MINISTER Suresh Pachauri said he is trying for international level cricket stadium in the City. Talking to the journalists, he said he was also trying to organise a match of the India-Pakistan veterans cricket series, to be played some time this year in the country
