Placing its final arguments before a Sessions Court here, Special Public Prosecutor Niteen Pradhan said it had been accepted that Pravin was present at the site of the incident and the bullets were fired from his licensed revolver.

Pravin has pleaded not guilty to the charges of entering Pramod's residence here on April 22 last year and shooting him multiple times. The BJP leader passed away 12 days later at a city hospital.

Immediately after the incident, Pravin had surrendered to the police.

Considering that Pravin did not think of providing medical aid to his injured brother but instead left him bleeding and went to the police station showed he had fired the bullets with an intent to kill, Pradhan said.

Also, the claim by defence that the firing was accidental was fabricated since the direction in which the fired bullets entered Pramod's body showed he was sitting and Pravin was standing in front of him, the prosecution said.

The prosecution will continue its argument on Monday.
