Proverbial slip

It is interesting that Sitaram Yechury in Faith accompli (June 12) speaks of faith in the Indian context and ends his piece with the Chinese proverb ‘let a hundred flowers bloom’.

It is interesting that Sitaram Yechury in Faith accompli (June 12) speaks of faith in the Indian context and ends his piece with the Chinese proverb ‘let a hundred flowers bloom’. Could he not find any appropriate proverb that reflects Indian wisdom? May I remind him that under the guise of such slogans, thousands of innocent Chinese lost their lives at the hands of an autocratic communist regime.
