Provision of Rs 2.01 crore for polytechnics in State

THE STATE government, with a view to provide impetus to technical education in state, has made a provision of Rs 2.01 crore in supplementary budget for the polytechnic institutes in the state.

THE STATE government, with a view to provide impetus to technical education in state, has made a provision of Rs 2.01 crore in supplementary budget for the polytechnic institutes in the state.

Provision of Rs one crore each has been made for the Eklavya Polytechnics and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Polytechnics.

The technical and higher education minister Tukojirao Panwar has said that under the tribal sub-plan students of Jhabua and Mandla polytechnics and under the SC sub-plan students of Morena and Sehore polytechnics would get residential facilities, free food, scholarships, implements and equipments as per their courses. Rs one crore each has been provisioned for each of the two sub-plans.

Further, to better equip the students for employment opportunities, the SC students studying for ITI diploma or degree courses will be provided facility of Indo-German tool room. For this a provision of Rs one lakh has been made.
