PREPARATIONS ARE afoot to organise pulse polio campaign in the district on November 12. Polio drops would be administered to all the children below 5 years.
District Collector Vivek Aggarwal on Monday chaired a meeting of task force committee for this purpose. Aggarwal issued directives to officials to make all the preparations before the deadline.
He said self-help groups, social organisations and public representatives would also be involved to make the campaign a success. It was informed that a door-to-door campaign would be conducted on November 13 and 14 to administer polio drops to those children who miss out on November 12.
Additional collector Renu Pant, chief medical and health officer Dr K K Vijayvergiya, civil surgeon Dr Subhash Dube, district vaccination officer Dr Mukesh Bhchawat were among those present.
