Punjab irrigation department has announced rotational programme for irrigation for the Kharif Season through canal water from July 11-18, 2003.
The Channels of Sirhind Canal System would run on priority basis from Bist Doab Canal, Sidhwan Branch, Bhatinda Branch, Patiala feeder and Abohar Branch respectively, an official spokesman said here on Thursday.
The direct distributories of Bhakra Main Line, being in the first preference would run to their indent. The balance water supplies would be utilised in Ghaggar link and its off taking channels Ghaggar Branch and Patiala Minor respectively, he said.
The spokesman said Punjab channels off taking from Harika and Ferozepur Head Works and Branches all the direct distributories of Sirhind Feeder in-group "A" being in the first preference would run to their indent.
The balance water supplies would be utilised in Abohar Branch off taking from Sirhind Feeder and its distributories of minor in-group "B", he said.
