Punjab Congress to launch 'aggressive' campaign
Punjab Congress Legislature Party chalked out a strategy to launch "aggressive and effective electoral campaign" for Punjab LS polls.
Gearing up for Lok Sabha polls, the Punjab Congress Legislature Party (CLP) on Monday chalked out a strategy to launch "aggressive and effective electoral campaign" to ensure victory of its candidate in all the 13 constituencies.
Presiding over the meeting of the members of CLP and district Congress Committees Presidents, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said the morale of the rank and file of the Congress was "high and was quite confident of a landslide victory."
"There is complete unity and harmony amongst the party workers, leaders and the Congress is all set to register a comfortable win over its arch rival Akalis-BJP communal combine in the parliamentary elections in the state," he claimed.
He asked the MLAs, Ministers and Mayors to fan out in their respective areas and start campaign in favour of the Party candidates immediately.
Speaking on the occasion, H S Hanspal, President, PPCC said people of Punjab were solidly behind the Congress in the state because of its "pro-people policies and its crusade again st corruption."
Pointing out that people from different walks of life had widely welcomed the initiative to cleanse the public life, he said the anti-corruption campaign would be carried to its logical conclusion.
