Punjab offers quota for Kashmiri migrants in technical courses

The Punjab government has reserved one seat each for the Kashmiri migrants to pursue technical courses in different institutes of the state, according to a government spokesperson.

The Punjab government has reserved one seat each for the Kashmiri migrants to pursue technical courses in different institutes of the state, according to a government spokesperson.

The state government after considering the guidelines issued by the All India Council for Technical Education and union ministry of human resource development has reserved one seat in each engineering, MBA, MCA, MPharma, BPharma, hotel management and catering technology in Punjabi University, engineering and polytechnic colleges of the state for admission of Kashmiri migrants in the 2013-14 academic session.

The spokesperson added that counselling of the candidates would be held on August 2 in the committee room of directorate of technical education and industrial training, Punjab, at Sector 36-A, Chandigarh.

The last date for submitting application is July 26. The other details about courses and guidelines for admission are available on the directorate's website www.dtepunjab.gov.in
