The judicial custody of Lt Col Prasad Purohit, an accused in the September 29 Malegaon blast, was on Saturday extended till March 5 by a local court in Nashik in a case of procuring arms license on allegedly fake documents.

Purohit was produced before judge VV Joshi as his judicial remand in the same case ended today, accused’s counsel Avinash Bhide told PTI.
The case was filed by a Pune resident Shirish Datey here on November 16, alleging the license for his gun was obtained by his friend Purohit from the army quota using fake documents, Bhide said.
