Quake shakes Indo-China border in Uttaranchal

The quake, which took place at 12.47 am, measured 5 on the Richter Scale.

A moderate intensity earthquake shook the India-China border region in Uttaranchal early on Wednesday morning, the MeT Office said in New Delhi.

The quake, which took place at 12.47 am, measured 5 on the Richter Scale and was epicentred at a latitude of 30.4 degree North and a longitude of 80.4 degree East, it said.

There were no immediate reports of casualty or damage to property.

A 5.7 magnitude moderate tremor was recorded on Tuesday in Sikkim.
