Quattrocchi walking free a "serious lapse": BJP

The party says the issue of Bofors accused walking free is a "serious lapse" on the part of the government and the party will raise the matter "forcefully" in Parliament.

BJP on Wednesday said the issue of Bofors accused Ottavio Quattrocchi walking free out of Argentina was a "serious lapse" on the part of the government and the party would raise the matter "forcefully" in Parliament.

Party vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said," It was a result of the casual approach of the Congress-led government. The development is not only unfortunate but is also a serious lapse."

"BJP would raise the matter in Parliament and the government is answerable to the people of this country on the matter. Afterall, Quattrochi was not an ordinary criminal," he said.
