The cases against Sonia and Natwar were registered under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act and Prevention of Corruption Act.

Making a scathing attack on the UPA Chairperson for her silence on the issue, he asked her to come clean on her party's role in the matter as also the findings of the probe panel and the Enforcement Directorate.

"The BJP demands that the case must be immediately registered by the CBI against Natwar Singh under the FCRA and PCA. This alone will enable CBI to send letters derogatory to Swiss and other foreign governments to track the money trail and pinpoint the end beneficiaries in the food-for-oil scam.

"Investigating agencies should also question the Congress President in the course of their probe," he said on the fifth day of his 6000-km long 'Bharat Suraksha Yatra'.

"The involvement of other well-connected Congress men has come to light. Thus the taint is spreading inspite of the best efforts of Congress party and Government to contain it," the former Deputy Prime Minister alleged.

He also made a reference to a Congress MLA from Punjab in this connection.
